Bombé Chest
Mahogany and Mahogany veneer secretary cabinet features Bombé styling and intricately carved details. This cabinet has a hooded bonnet top with swan neck pediment and center carved shell ornament, carved Corinthian capitols, pilasters and torch finials and carved foliage on the front and side of ogee bracketed feet. A drop-lid tooled-leather writing surface reveals stepped serpentine pigeon holes and drawers with shaped partitions. Four drawers beneath the writing surface have solid brass “Rococo” drawer pulls and keyhole embellishments.
